Local SEO break-even calculator
Compare a monthly SEO fee with contribution from assumed new customers and calculate the number of leads needed to cover that fee.
Local SEO break-even calculator: how is the result calculated?
Local SEO break-even uses contribution after variable costs. Estimate new customers from additional leads and the close rate.
How the calculation works
Local SEO break-even uses contribution after variable costs. Estimate new customers from additional leads and the close rate. Apply revenue per customer and contribution margin, then subtract the monthly SEO fee. The result is monthly contribution after that fee under the entered assumptions.
The break-even lead count rounds up because a fractional lead cannot be purchased or completed. If contribution per lead is zero, the model has no finite break-even count for a positive fee. Keep existing customer activity outside the additional-lead input.
This calculator does not forecast rankings or organic demand. Use actual costs and compare several lead scenarios; later attribution needs separate records connecting inquiries and customers to the relevant acquisition source.
